Delivery of beer tanks from Belgium to Russia

Route: From Bruges (Belgium) to Azov Sea Port (Russia)

Dimensions:

1st cargo: quantity 5, length 21 824 mm, width 4802 mm, height 4976, weight 103.5 tons.

2nd cargo: quantity 5, length 4 450 mm, width 1100 mm, height 1750, weight 10.5 tons.

Difficulties: Due to client’s instruction to deliver the cargo without intermediary transshipments we had to find direct vessel suitable with draft and length restrictions in Bruges Locks and river port of Azov.

In 2016 “Glogos Project” company made a shipment of five cilo tanks of big diameter addressed to brewing company in the southern Region of the Russian Federation. 10 units of cargo with total weight of 114 tons were carried. Within 24 hours our chartered ship passed the locks from Zeebrugge to Bruges, loaded the tanks for the fermentation of beer and proceeded directly of the Azov port. For this project we’ve found a special vessel with low draft (not more than 3.8 m) capable to call the Azov Port and locks in Belgium.

To ensure the safety of goods and prevent the risk of loss of deck cargo, the company’s specialists together with the equipment manufacturers and the shipowner developed the special project of securing cargo and made control of its execution.
