On the Сontinent and in the French Bay area, the number of vessels’ delays caused by adverse weather conditions is increasing, resulting in concentration of spot-prompt tonnage in that part of the region. Charterers with home ports on the North of Spain and in France are responding actively to the current situation by steeply increasing the presence of their orders on the market. Due to the constant availability of spot tonnage and orders the freight rates remain stable.

The Baltic is experiencing some tonnage deficit expected to increase with the beginning of ice restrictions, which does not leave Charterers any hope for a reduction in freight rates.
